About this project

As one of Melbourne's most significant urban renewal projects, YarraBend in Alphington has transformed a former industrial site into a thriving community of homes, parks, retail spaces, hospitality venues and workplaces.

With much of the development now complete, the brief was to create a fresh library of authentic imagery that reflected the finished precinct and replaced the reliance on architectural renders. The focus was on showcasing the atmosphere, lifestyle and character that residents, visitors and businesses experience every day.

Over several shoots, we documented a broad range of spaces and experiences throughout YarraBend, including landscaped gardens, public spaces, walking trails, retail precincts, hospitality venues, local businesses and community areas. The imagery also highlighted people interacting with the environment, providing a genuine sense of scale, activity and connection.

Working with natural light and a documentary approach, the goal was to create warm, inviting photographs that captured the feeling of the precinct while remaining true to the architecture, landscape design and everyday life unfolding within it.

This collection of commercial lifestyle, architecture and place-branding photography was created to support YarraBend's ongoing marketing across digital platforms, websites, social media, advertising and promotional campaigns.
